About the Nu Build houses

The homes use an off site manufacturing process developed by Streif OSM - a leading provider of homes in Germany. The homes embrace many new applications of building technology and aim to be environmentally friendly, energy efficient and affordable. They incorporate the technology that is required to achieve level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Water

The house achieves the mandatory water consumption levels laid out in the Code for Sustainable Homes of 105 litres per person per day, which is no easy task.  The houses include low water use items such as dual-flush toilets, flow-regulated and flow-restricted taps and showers.

The walls give an improvement of 5dB over Building Regulations for England & Wales.

White Goods

White Goods are rated under the EU energy efficiency labelling  scheme as follows:

• A+ rated Fridge/Freezer
• A rated Washer/Dishwasher
• B rated Tumble Dryer
• The maximum (full-load) water volumes for the washer are 50.ltr and for the dishwasher 16.ltr
